“ Just off the main streets through Yakima is a great little coffee shop and bakery. While the bakery selection is plentiful, the shining star has to be the scones. The scones do not have that baking soda taste that a t is found in so many scones everywhere else. The outside of the scones is firm and the inside is absolutely perfect. Even the next day the scones were perfect. There are a couple tables inside for eating in the bakery but we always get ours to go. If you are in Yakima, this is a place to check out. ”

“ New to town, but not new to making steaming pots of homemade soup! This time of year, it's all I want...and today I made a brothy veggie soup with cabbage, carrots, celery, and a diced up grilled chicken breast...after consideration, I thought it necessary to pair it with some good bread! The bakery felt warm, and there were a couple of patrons enjoying pastry and coffee, working on their laptops. I looked past the sweets on purpose, as I really just needed to purchase that gorgeous crusty round loaf to slather with rich grass fed dairy butter! The aroma, once I cut through, was beautifully sour, sweet, yeasty, with a pillowy inside. Oh goodness, does a girl need anything else in her life besides a good bowl of soup and a generously cut wedge of bread and butter? I feel perfectly nourished! Next time I'll have to dig into a croissant and a latte! ”
“ We were wine tasting in Yakima Valley & was informed of this place. We checked it out first thing on Saturday Morning (they aren't open on Sundays). Had a little trouble finding but gave a call and was able to get confirmation that it was behind the Chase Bank on the corner across from Olive Garden. Walking in, they had a nice seating area (even for a larger group that appeared to be a commonplace). The display cases were filled of many options & coffee options aplenty. I didn't see much chocolate options but that was okay with me. The lemon poppyseed cheesecake was an excellent choice - prefect consistency of the cheesecake & enough lemon to satisfy me. We chose a bunch of things to take back to our group. I would HIGHLY recommend you stop if you are in the area and it's open. You won't be disappointed (but if you are - Atleast you tried something new) ”
“ Essencia Bakery it's been a long time staple in the Valley and for good reason. They offer a wide array of pastries, breads and other baked goods. I consider myself to be a bit of an almond croissant connoisseur and can honestly say they are for the best I'm a croissant I've ever had. Next time I go back, I definitely buy a loaf of one of their home-cooked breads. Inside there are plenty of tables to sit and visit out with friends or to get some work done. They have many open windows which bringing a lot of natural light, making us a nice, cozy place to postop and get some work done. We will definitely be back from marvelous croissants! ”
